What time do we meet?​

Meeting times vary depending on the length of your charter and the type of trip you’ve booked.

Your captain will reach out directly before your Destin fishing trip to confirm your departure time, location, and goals—so we’re all set for a smooth start on the water.

What happens if we have to cancel?

We understand that things come up!

If you need to cancel your Destin fishing charter, just give us at least 72 hours’ notice and we’ll issue a full refund—no problem.

What if it rains or there's bad weather?

We fish rain or shine, but your safety always comes first.

While afternoon showers are common in Florida, we use up-to-date radar and marine forecasts to avoid storms and rough conditions offshore.

If your captain decides to cancel due to unsafe weather, we’ll work with you to reschedule. If that’s not possible, we’ll issue a 100% refund for any amounts already paid.

What can we expect to catch on our charter?​

Depending on the trip, you’ll have the chance to reel in a variety of prized offshore species, including:

  • Mahi-Mahi
  • Grouper
  • Sharks
  • Snapper
  • Tuna
  • And more!

Can we keep the fish we catch?​

Yes, you can keep your catch—but keep in mind that some fish are seasonal or have legal limits. Your Captain will let you know which species are in season and eligible to keep on the day of your trip.

All fish will be cleaned and bagged for you, and we’re happy to recommend local restaurants that will cook your fresh catch!

Be sure to bring a cooler (and leave it in your vehicle) so you can easily transport your fish home after your Destin fishing charter.

Where do we park when we come to the dock?

You’re welcome to pull into the marina to drop off passengers and gear—free for up to 30 minutes. After that, the marina offers paid parking, which can be managed through your smartphone.

If you’d prefer a more affordable option, there’s City of Destin public parking located just across the street from the marina.

Are we allowed to tip the Captain?

Absolutely! Your Captain and Crew work extremely hard to provide our guests with the best fishing experiences possible.

Customarily, gratuities for a Captain and Crew are 20%+ of the cost of your charter.

Do we need fishing licenses?​

Nope!

Your charter has all of the licenses and permits you’ll need for your fishing charter and are included for your trip.

Can we bring alcohol on a fishing charter?

Yes. We even supply an iced-down cooler to keep your drinks chilly!

We just ask that you drink responsibly and leave the glass containers at home.

What kind of boat will we be going out in?​

You’ll be fishing from the “Reel Chill”, a luxury 52’ Hatteras Convertible Sportfisher.

The vessel includes:

  • A bedroom, 2 bathrooms with showers
  • Full kitchen and galley with comfortable couches & television
  • Air conditioning
  • Luxury features to make you feel at home

How many people can go on a charter?​

Maximum number of guests is 6 (plus your Captain & Crew).

What if we would like to go longer?​

Of course!

If you’re on a charter with us and would like to extend your trip… we’ll be happy to accommodate as long as our booking calendar allows.

I suffer from motion sickness, and was scared to book a charter. Captain Birchfield assured me that with the new Sea Keeper installed on the boat, I wouldn’t have anything to worry about. I booked a charter and NOT ONCE did I feel sickly. I was able to focus on all the amazing fish we were catching. In addition, it was super nice to have a clean restroom to use. The deckhand was amazing and very knowledgeable.
